Katy, Hope and the team were so kind and welcoming. We were guided through the entire process. Very professional, quick to respond and always reassuring! The venue is so versatile, having the flexibility to get married anywhere on site was reassuring, no matter what the weather brings! The entire venue is beautiful, whether you get married inside or out!
A magical place run by lovely people - September 2024
I can't put into words how glad we are that we had our wedding at Happy Valley. The venue itself is a beautiful woodland with a lake and pockets of spaces to explore. We also chose HV because of this and the accommodation on-site (some with hot tubs!), and space for campers in their adjoining field which looks onto a gorgeous meadow. Not all are included in the base price and venue is semi-DIY so bear in mind for budget.
We got super lucky with the weather in late September and it was sunny and glorious but even for wet weather there were options and Katy and Hope were very helpful in coming up with the alternative plan.
From the first enquiry to the actual day (and further), Katy, Hope, and the Happy Valley team were friendly, informative, supportive, and professional answering all our questions and providing advice where needed. We always felt it was okay to get into contact and it helped make the planning a pleasant experience. Hope, our coordinator, went above and beyond on the day, guiding people, helping collect evening food and meeting deliveries - thank you ever so much. The team also provided the clear down at the end of the night.
Overall, an immensely positive experience - if you are looking for a woodland wedding, a backdrop for the most gorgeous photographs, lots of spaces to work with, a friendly and professional service... Look no further. Thank you HV for the best day of our lives!

We instantly knew it was the place for us as soon as we first laid eyes on it. The grounds are sensational and it just gets even more beautiful the more you look around. The spaces available allow you to really tailor your day to what you want, making everyone’s day totally unique.
Katy, Hope and the team are fantastic too - by the end of it, they feel like friends and you know that they’ll do anything they can to make your day special. They were constantly beaming on the day and I wouldn’t have trusted anyone but them!
Happy Valley made our dreams come true for our special day and I can’t wait to keep visiting and making even more memories there!
Beautiful Venue, Wonderful Staff - April 2024
This was certainly our dream wedding venue, with the gorgeous scenery, twinkly lights, and quirky cabins. As soon as I saw the Willow Island I fell in love.
All our guests came away saying it was stunning and unique.
We certainly recommend to any couple who loves the outdoors/nature and wants a venue where they can put their own stamp on the day.
Thank you so much for an unforgettable weekend. We are so excited to see what pictures came from being in such a stunning place.
Magical forest wedding venue in Norfolk - July 2023
We had our wedding celebration at Happy Valley in July 2023 and it was the best weekend of our lives. The happy memories will last us a lifetime. We truly believe that this is a magical place, you can feel the love that has been channelled into the site. From our first visit in November 2021, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The venue has everything you need and more for the perfect wedding!
Our priorities were - a venue where our wedding party could stay on site, so we could spend as much time as possible with them, and a venue where we were surrounded by nature. Happy Valley gave us both of these in abundance. When you quietly walk around the site you can hear the trees gently creak as they sway in the wind, and it feels like they are offering blessings, it's pure wedding magic.
Led by Katy, the staff are super kind and helpful, and communication is always clear and friendly. They have worked with many local suppliers and we really felt the sense of community that has been built here as a business. Marie at The Cattle Yard bar put together the perfect drinks package for us, complete with local wines & bespoke cocktails. All the bar staff were so lovely to all our guests and instantly understood the vibe of our day. Our coordinator Alex was super calm and friendly and was always on hand with encouragement and support. We noticed every single kind word and gesture from the Happy Valley staff and we will always be grateful. If we haven't made it clear enough already - this is the dream team you want on your wedding day.
The venue has so many gorgeous spaces to chose from, both indoor and outdoor so you are covered whatever the weather. It looked like it might rain on our wedding day (it didn't in the end) but we can honestly say that wherever you have your ceremony on the Happy Valley site, there will be a beautiful backdrop.
The accommodation is beautifully put together and it really felt like the best possible (luxury!) festival with our nearest and dearest. The time you are allowed on site is really generous, so we never felt rushed and we felt like we had plenty of time to settle in and then to clear up. Checking all our friends into their accommodation was so much fun! Whether we were having breakfast together in Keeper's Cabin or a post-disco hot tub at Toad Hall, the accommodation was a huge part of the magic of our wedding weekend spent at Happy Valley.

We got married here a month ago and cannot recommend it enough.
Katy is an amazing host and the venue is stunning! We had our wedding party stay on site and over 100 guests attend our ceremony on the beautiful island!
If you’re looking for a venue you can put your own stamp on whilst having an amazing natural backdrop then look no further! We wanted an Italian courtyard vibe with an English countryside twist and HV certainly delivered!

The most beautiful venue for our intimate wedding of 10 that we were determined to have despite being amidst a global pandemic. Katy and Kirsty were the perfect hosts and throughout the pandemic and with one already rescheduled date, they worked with us and we could not have asked for more. They were accommodating, understanding and so patient and helped us to still have the most perfect wedding day. Happy Valley itself is also so perfect, beautiful and is full to the brim with wonderful natural and idyllic views and accommodation and we cannot wait to return and be back in our Happy Valley bubble once again.

We were fortunate enough to hold our wedding reception at Happy Valley, an idyllic and peaceful spot hidden in West Norfolk's beautiful countryside. The venue has it all: a lake with a bridge to a little island in the middle (you can also get married on this island), magical woodland accommodation and facilities (including hot tubs), huge party barns and all surrounded by nothing but peaceful woodland and glorious Norfolk sunsets. It really is the perfect, private wedding venue and you will be spoilt for choice with photograph opportunities. We had our drinks reception and canapés on the edge of the pretty lake, using the lean-to of the Dutch barn as our outside bar area, and had a band playing outdoors near the willow trees to accompany. We then moved inside to the incredible Dutch barn which has stunning views across the lake, to eat and party the night away - it was just amazing. There's a built-in bar area already in the Dutch barn, which is a lovely touch, a stage was set-up for the band to play on in the evening and our caterers set-up camp in the Hay barn. We were very lucky with the weather, but both barns at Happy Valley offer great (and dry!) spaces to be in whatever the weather. Katy and Scott, the owners, really are the most fantastic hosts, and we couldn't thank them enough for everything they did to help ensure we had the perfect day. None of us wanted to leave at the end of the weekend, and it will forever remain the most special place for us. We can't recommend Happy Valley highly enough and
have spent most days since wishing we could do it all over again. The venue really is a gift that keeps on giving.

Happy Valley is the most incredible place. We were lucky enough to hold our September wedding there and we still can't believe how beautiful it was. With little gypsy caravans and bell tents in the woods, us and our closest friends and family could stay all weekend, making it feel extra special. It is such a child friendly venue, with acres of space (literally!) for our 6 little flower girls to run riot, I don't think they ever really left the rope swings! If the weather isn't the best, there is plenty of beautiful inside space that offers a great peace of mind in the run up to the day. Katy and Scott make the whole process so relaxing and completely stress free. They are there when you need them but very much stay in the background to leave you to enjoy your weekend. I can't think of any other wedding venue where you can spend your wedding morning drinking champagne in a wood fired hot tub in the forest, before having your ceremony under a willow tree on an island on a lake, before sitting around a fire pit toasting marshmallows with your guests whilst the sun goes down. The following morning was just as fun, with all our guests who'd stayed overnight milling around in their pyjamas and wellies, eating bacon sandwiches cooked on the BBQ, whilst reminiscing about the day before. We honestly cannot recommend Happy Valley enough.

When we started searching for a wedding venue, I had a fairly clear idea of the kind of place we were looking for - I just wasn’t sure if it existed! When we met Katy at Happy Valley, however, these fears were alleviated. Happy Valley is, put simply, wild. A secluded setting with all the natural beauty of the forest, nearby fields for those coveted ‘golden hour’ portraits, a rope swing and even its own lake and island! Happy valley provided more than the ‘blank canvas’ we were after to create *our* day, it was a stunning backdrop upon which we were able to have a unique celebration with our friends and family. There was flexibility around all aspects of the day - we were able to choose our own caterer, bring our own alcohol, have a ceilidh and a band and even a guest appearance from the horse I learnt to ride on! Katy is the coolest lady, she was able to provide recommendations of local suppliers, we even had the same wedding florist (Jo Flowers is the dream!) Our wedding pictures and video are the beautiful reminder of a truly amazing day - my best people all in one wonderful, unique place. It’s our 5th anniversary this year (how has this happened?!) and if we could do it all again, I’d be back at Happy Valley like a shot!

Leon and I were fortunate enough to hold our dream festival wedding at Happy Valley. From start to finish Katy and Scott were extremely welcoming and made planning our perfect day even more relaxed. The venue speaks for itself and we managed to get all 80 guests on the idyllic island in the middle of the venue for our ceremony. Afternoon drinks, listening to an acoustic duo looking over the lake, followed by dancing the night away to a live band on stage inside the Dutch Barn was the exact vision we had planned. We were lucky with the weather, so our daytime catering set up the BBQ in the courtyard, however if needed there was plenty of shelter in the hay barn. As for photographs, where do you start. Our wedding photographer Darina Stoda was spoilt for choice with endless photo opportunities. After a few drinks we even got pictured on the tyre swing, let’s face it, the dress was never going to stay white. We can't recommend Happy Valley enough for giving us our most perfect day. Hopefully, we get to renew our vows in years to come with another celebration at this hidden gem.

Happy Valley was our wedding venue of dreams - we have quite big families so were looking for a large venue in Norfolk with enough space for all the kids to run wild & free! The venue is perfect as it has endless beautiful outdoor space but also the most beautiful indoor barns. We were able to have our ceremony outdoors surrounded by trees and looking out to the Norfolk countryside. To be able to spend the weekend on site with our friends and family was just perfect and made our
wedding so much more special - we will absolutely be back for future weddings! Katy& Scott have made the most beautiful venue, I can’t quite put into words how wonderful it is! It has been made with such love & care and absolutely made our wedding so special. Each accommodation was beautiful and perfect for our guests. Happy Valley is a unique and picturesque venue, full of incredible, natural spaces that create the perfect ambience for your wedding day. Outdoor ceremonies and rustic barns make Happy Valley the perfect woodland wedding venue and is one of my absolute favourite spaces to photograph. You can really make it your own and spend a few days chilling out with your wedding party. The team are fantastic and will go out of their way to help and make you feel as relaxed as possible. Of all the venues I photograph, this is certainly one of the most inspiring! I would highly recommend it for that super cool, boho vibe!

As an eco wedding florist I LOVE working with Happy Valley. The first time I went there was on a site visit with a prospective couple. There were soooooo many ceremony and party options and we loved walking around picturing the wedding. We definitely jumped up and down and did some excited clapping when we decided on the woods next to Toad Hall. As a designer, there was so much to take inspiration from - not only is the site full of lushness but the surrounding fields are dreamy. I was impressed by the eco credentials too, which included eco friendly products in the toilet blocks and sympathetically built and planted facilities. Katy and Scott are so welcoming and great to work with. Happy Valley feels like a second, more glamourous and exciting home. I can't wait to get back there to unleash a frenzy of fabulous floral creations.
