Toad Hall Treehouse

Elisha - November 2024

Beautiful rural retreat with hot tub! Given clear Instructions. The tree house was beautiful with so many lovely areas to look out and enjoy nature. Lots of space inside and out. Highly recommend especially if you need a nice quiet break. We can't wait to return!

Hephzibah - December 2023

Toad Hall was brilliant for us. It is tucked into a forest of pines looking out to the western sky. We had fabulous sunsets that we watched from the warmth of the hot tub on the shortest day of the year with the wind rushing through the branches overhead. Inside while enjoying the views through the generous windows it was warm, comfortable and cosy. The beds were firm, the kitchen was well equipped and the shower was hot. The instructions were clear and everything ran smoothly. Thank you Katy!

Alicia - July 2022

We had an amazing time. Toad Hall is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. It was absolutely spotless and really nicely furnished. The hot tub is fantastic and we enjoyed eating outside on the huge deck every night. As well as being luxurious, the treehouse is only 20 minutes or so to the beaches - we went to Brancaster. It is located in such a relaxing and peaceful location surrounded by pine trees. Absolutely fantastic, we didn’t want to leave!

James - May 2022

Exactly as per the description, this is all you can want for a short get away from it all. Secluded and rustic, but with all mod cons and within a 10 min drive of a main town with everything you could need (charging points for us). And then a very short drive to all the great attractions that the North Norfolk coast offers.

The London Family - April 2022

We had such a lovely stay at Toad Hall, which is the ultimate location for a family getaway and in such beautiful surroundings, with every detail having been thought about inside the accommodation, from very comfortable seating and beds, to providing a coal BBQ that is ready to use and fire wood for the fire pit. If you want seclusion, the sound of birds and wildlife being the only the noise that you hear, other than the fun that your children are having on the hammock, then this is the place to be. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and will 100% be back!

Carly - December 2021

We spent Christmas at Toad hall and oh my goodness, what a treat. As soon as we walked in and saw it all dressed Christmassy we said it has the wow factor. That gable is absolutely stunning. Surrounded by fields and trees and only the sound of the owls at night. It was perfect. Toad hall has everything by you could need and everything is finished to a high spec. The beds are sooo comfy , especially the downstairs king. You can really tell the quality of the bedding and mattered - superb! The shower was amazing and it was so nice even having a view from the bathroom window while you washed in the morning. The hot tub is probably the best I’ve ever used. It was glorious. So relaxing. Katy was always on hand if we needed her, but luckily we didn’t have any problems or need to.
As it was Christmas we were probably super lazy and just enjoyed being in the treehouse so we didn’t get to explore much, but it looks like there would be plenty to do and see locally.

Alexandra - October 2020

Katy was really prompt in sending through a pack about the house and local area. She also informed us as we were packing for the trip that bedding was now back in the lodge, which we were really grateful for! The tree house is absolutely fab for a getaway. The location is just serene, a drive up a path through a farmers field with young pheasants filling the route. Our daughter loved the hot tub and the lights which we managed to use every night, even in the rain. The kitchen is of good quality, we cooked each night and there are ample dishes to use. We would totally recommend the tree house for a stay in the countryside, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere yet there are so many things to do and see all within 20-30 mins drive.

Debs - August 2020

The lodge is beautifully positioned with the only traffic being hares, muntjacs and various birds, all of which were wonderful to watch and enjoy. It goes without saying the hot tub was a wonderfully warm delight—even in the pouring rain! We slept well, walked miles along the coastline and had a wonderful, peaceful weekend away from any real life demands. The place is exactly as the name suggests; Happy Valley. Many thanks.

Keepers Cabin

Saqib - November 2024

This was one of best places I have stayed. The location was amazing and I can honestly say I had one of the most peaceful weekends of my life, I would highly recommend this location.

Iwona - October 2024

What a wonderful stay! The cabin and its setting were truly amazing and so tranquil. We needed a short getaway, ideally around nature and this exceeded any expectations. It felt like we had the site all to ourselves, as it was so peaceful, so it really did feel like a retreat. The cabin itself was spotless and so cosy and the hot tub was placed ideally for privacy. Leading up to our stay, the communication was very informative and response to any messages was extremely fast. We highly recommend this stay; it was truly unique and being so close to nature and yet a short drive to other tourist spots, was absolutely ideal. Thank you for hosting us, it really was so special.

Meredith - October 2024

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Happy Valley from start to finish. I seriously didn’t want to ever leave. From the stunning scenery to the thoughtful little touches, it was magical. I’ve been home less than 24 hours and I’m already looking to book again.
Thank you so much!

Richard - October 2024

With my travel "group" we have been fortunate to have traveled and stayed at some very very nice accommodations. in a few different countries....with that being said, and without question and total consensus, we all agree that Happy Valley is by far the absolute best. It just was a beautiful place, perfectly equipped and located in an amazingly private and serene environment, with an exceptional hot tub. Though it's a cabin in the woods, the accommodations are all modern and what you would expect at a luxurious stay. The best of all worlds! Add that the staff at Happy Valley were very communicative, always available if needed, and helped us with a delivery ensuring that it all worked out on time. Just truly the best, thank you for an exceptional time! Looking forward to staying there again.

Katie - September 2024

This was our fourth time back at Happy Valley and as always the standard was excellent. It was our first time staying in Keepers Cabin (having previously stayed in King Nutkin and Toad Hall) and the cabin itself is amazing. It's nestled right in amongst the trees, so feels really private and is silent apart from the sounds of the forest. Our 2 year old loved hunting for pine cones and acorns and watching the squirrels. The hot tub was a real bonus for us after she'd gone to bed! A magical stay, as always, we will absolutely be back.

Shabna - June 2023

We loved our stay at Keeper's Cabin! A beautiful and private cabin in the pine forest and the hot tub was perfect! I was there with my kids 12 and 14 and we managed to take time away from our screens to relax and enjoy our surroundings - but we did make use of the TV and plentiful stash of DVDs in the evenings. Lovely break!

David - April 2023

We stopped in Keepers Cabin and loved it. Immediately felt like a home from home, very clean, comfortable, spacious as well as being stylish and a bit quirky. The whole site is beautiful and set in amazing countryside/woodland. Super peaceful and relaxing. The only noise is the wind in the pine trees and the wildlife. Great location for exploring the North & West of Norfolk, loads of nice villages, great pubs, stunning beaches and places to visit with/without children.

Emma - May 2022

We had the most incredible stay! The cabin is so clean, beautifully designed and in such a magical location. The hot tub was easy to use and in such a private space, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking nice meals, we hardly left the cabin! The peace and quiet and treetop views were a hi light, and surrounding woodland was perfect for a morning run/walk. Highly recommend if you live in the city and need some time to unplug. It was everything we hoped for and more for a long weekend stay, we can't wait to go back!

Jordan - January 2022

Stayed three nights in the Keepers Cabin. Happy Valley has everything you could ask for and more, the cabin was one of the best cabins I’ve stayed in on Airbnb. Self check in was easy and the host was available if needed throughout. The hot tub is clean, easy to use and 100% private. The local area has all the usual amenities within a short distance should you need and the instructions to find Happy Valley are clear and easy to follow. There’s a few different places to stay on the site, all nicely distanced for privacy. Would definitely recommend checking out some of the other lodges too (Toad Hall looks ace). Definitely looking to come back for a longer stay in the future.

Paul - December 2021

This place is 10 out of 10. It deserves every penny. Highly recommend you to visit. No phones, no internet, peaceful woodland, cosy cabin with wonderful log burner and great hot tub. I have not seen so many stars in years. It is out of the world sitting in a hot tub in a woodland and watching the stars. If you are after romantic place to spend time with your other half - this wood do it. It is luxurious place with everything you need and spotless clean. You will get the most of your money. We would definitely visit again.

A T - June 2021

We stayed in the Keeper Cabin (2 adults + 2 children). We have stayed in many plush glamping locations over the past few years, but this one is the best. The accommodation is lovely - even has radiators, so no need to pack additional sleeping bags! Hot tub and fire pit in the middle of a wooded area are bliss. The site itself is beautiful, peaceful and spacious. One tip would be to bring a sleep mask as the windows on the roof of the cabin let in daylight from sunrise. Highly recommend, if you're lucky enough to get booked in!

The Woodpecker Tree Temple

Vicky - November 2024

Such a magical location and cabin full of everything you need. We were expecting a wood fired hot tub but pleasantly surprised to find an electric one which was super easy to manage! We loved exploring the grounds and having a few disconnected days connecting with the family! Can’t wait to go back.

Karena - July 2024

Just what we needed for a weekend in the woods. A brilliant venue, amazingly peaceful and had everything you could need for the perfect family time. Loved the hot tub and wood burning fire and all the little touches. We had good phone signal (EE) at the venue for anyone who might be worried about it being ‘too off grid’. Great communication, instructions and ideas for the surrounding areas. Just perfect!

Jessica - August 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodpecker Cabin with our two boys. Walking through the local woodland and finding the various swings dotted around the site was a real plus! We enjoyed using the hot tub, fire pit and hammock and the bunk beds were great fun 😁 we would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Andy - May 2022

Me and my girlfriend had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend here with a real focus on disconnecting and enjoying the peacefulness of nature. We couldn’t ask for anymore from the venue or the host! We would strongly recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

Carley - April 2022

We had the most lovely break, the woodpecker lodge was just perfect. It had everything we needed, hot tub; children’s play area etc. the accommodation was nice and clean and the owners even left my girls some Easter treats. We will be leaving tomorrow nice and relaxed - which is quite unusual for us to say with twin 6 year olds. 😉 We look forward to returning again. Thank you very much!

Chelsea - February 2022

Myself my partner and our two year old son had a wonderful stay at woodpecker. The accommodation was super cosy, clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The location and site is just beautiful. My little boy especially liked roaming around the woods and playing. It feels really safe and contained which is great for a young family. There’s so much to do in the area we’d definitely like to come back when it’s a bit warmer so we can explore more and sit out under the stars! Thanks for a lovely visit!

Kash - September 2020

Absolutely loved it. Woodpecker is in a camping site of around 7 other cabins and tents. It’s all very well spaced apart so you don’t feel at all clustered - plenty of privacy. The whole site is on the edge of an enormous forest - perfect for exploring in all weather. Came away feeling thoroughly rested and all the better for having got some time with nature.

Coral - August 2020

We enjoyed a fabulously relaxing break in The Woodpecker Cabin. Plenty of space for 4 of us, a wonderful peaceful location, spotlessly clean and loved the outdoor space. We wandered in the woods and spent long evenings toasting marshmallows. It couldn't have been nicer, everything that could make it a perfect stay had been thought of.

King Nutkin

Aleksandra - October 2024

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Happy Valley in Norfolk and I can’t recommend it enough! This charming little hut nestled in the forest was the perfect getaway. The location is simply stunning, surrounded by nature and tranquility, making it an ideal spot to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The hut itself was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from cozy furnishings to kitchen essentials. I loved waking up to the sounds of the forest and enjoying my morning coffee on the porch. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure in nature, Happy Valley is just perfect. I can’t wait to return!

Nigel - June 2024

My stay was wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation is positioned in such a way that it feels you have the whole woods to yourself. I could see a lot of thought had gone into the design and equipping of my accommodation including essentials for cooking that I would not have anticipated. The staff I met were all very friendly and very keen to offer any assistance that I might need, as I said everything had been very well anticipated.

King Bell Tent

Steve - August 2024

Really enjoyed our stay here. The site is beautiful and all we needed was provided such as a gas hob, cooking utensils and cutlery, fire pit with grill, access to electric (in the bell tent). Staff ensured our stay was easy and comfortable from the off. The kids got a real kick from seeing various wildlife. The tent backs onto an open field and we saw numerous hares/rabbits, hedgehogs, birds of prey. The pond is also beautiful and they enjoyed finding frogs and newts. There’s also two rope swings on site. Which the kids loved. We’d definitely like to come back at some stage. Thanks again for everything.

Denver and Tawny - duo huts

Tehani - May 2021

We recently spend the weekend at Denver rest and as soon as we arrived my son kept saying he likes the place better than the last holiday we went. And he said that before we can unpacked our things! The place was exactly what we imagined and expected. It was so peaceful and relaxing I could live there.
From someone who is a frontliner and have been wearing a mask up until now, to breath fresh air and be surrounded by trees was heaven. I fell asleep in the hammock listening to wildlife singing constantly. It was the best birthday gift ever. We will keep coming back.

Annette - September 2020

What a wonderful mini break we three sisters have had at Denver’s Rest and Tawny Hut these past few days. The weather was beautiful, the accommodation so quirky and just perfect for that outdoor glamping in the woods experience. The Happy Valley team have thought of everything you need for a relaxed stay. We stocked up at a local supermarket on the way, ate charcuterie under the stars on first night (it’s a dark sky area fabulous for star gazing/photography), we BBQd our second night. The Happy Valley site is magical and the woodland walks are gorgeous. We were definitely at one with nature. Perfect getaway in gorgeous Norfolk countryside and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend if you have a sense of adventure but appreciate some home comforts and be happy to leave the technology behind! Check-in / checkout a breeze and very clean, safe Covid aware venue. Add a torch or two to the recommended packing list as will need at night time. Thanks to the Happy Valley team.

Rebecca - September 2020

Katy’s place was beautiful, surrounded by gorgeous woodland and nature. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful retreat.
